Children's Ministries
Children have a place at Lakeview. They are special to Jesus and they are special to us. Our goal at Lakeview Chapel is to do everything possible to make the programs and activities we offer for children the best. We want every child who walks (or runs) through our doors to leave knowing that God made them and that He loves them and has a wonderful plan for their lives through Jesus Christ.Throughout the year we provide a variety of age appropriate opportunities for children to learn about Jesus whether they are visiting, attending regularly with their parents or grandparents, or coming from our surrounding community
Sunday School - 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 every Sunday Morning
Classes are provided for pre-school aged children through 5th grades. Our teachers are all devoted and many consider teaching a children's Sunday School Class their ministry in life. We also provide a nursery for infants and toddlers during the Sunday School hour and even the toddlers learn about Jesus.
Middle-school aged-youth in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades are in separate boy and girl classes.
Senior High Youth meet all together in one class.
Junior Church - During the Sunday Morning Worship Hour
This children's program is provided on Sunday mornings during the sermon time for children from 3 years of age through the 3rd grade. Our intention is to allow the children to sing and praise God in the Worship Service and then to provide a more age appropriate setting for the younger child to learn biblical principles for their lives.
Nursery - Provided during both the Sunday School and Morning Worship Hours
A nursery is provided for infants up to 3 years of age. Nursery workers are screened and must meet certain age and ability standards. Certain youth are allowed to help in the nursery provided they complete the "Red Cross Babysitter's Course" and provided they are approved by the Christian Education Committee.
Word of Life Children's Program - Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday evenings are hopping, popping, and teeming with children during the school year (September through May). We use "Word of Life Curriculum" and the kids come from throughout the community to participate in this great program. Gophers: Ages 4 through Kindergarten
Lakeview's Gophers experience age appropriate fun and learning through the use of games, songs, puppets and interactive teaching.
Olympians: 1st through 6th Grades
Olympians enjoy an environment where they learn how to love God and love others while having fun -- playing games, singing songs and learning Biblical truths through interactive teaching.
