Caring and Counseling Ministries

Here at Lakeview Chapel we sincerely believe that God through his Word, the Bible, provides the answers to all the problems we face in life. And we are all supposed to be counselors and caregivers to each other. There are times when we need a bit more help and support and this is where our Caring and Counseling Ministry comes into play.

The caring part of our ministry falls mostly under the guidance and leadership of our Deaconesses who meet together on a rmonthly basis to review the needs of our members. Whether it is a bridal or baby shower, a funeral dinner for the family of the deceased, these women really know how to make people feel loved and comforted. Deaconesses also visit and pray with our less mobile members and even take on the tasks of being "merry maids" when the need for a bit of housecleaning is called for. They arrange for meals to be taken to people who are incapacitated due to illness or even when someone's home is in shambles due to an extended renovation. If there is a need to be met, there is care to be given.

Counseling Ministry
The fast pace of a hurried generation presents us with many challenges. The difficulties we face in our marriages, parenting our children, surviving in a blended family, working inside and ourside of our homes, struggling with depression can be overwhelming. But, God has answers for these stresses and we offer Biblical answers through our counseling ministry.

We have a staff person (Director of Women's Counseling Ministries) who is trained in Biblical Counseling.She is available to counsel with women one-to-one on a short term or long-term basis.

Our senior pastor is available to counsel with members (primarily men) who need short-term counseling (1-3 sessions).

Premarital counseling and marriage counseling is available with our Sr. Pastor and his wife, the Director of Women's Counseling Ministries.

Specialized Counseling Support Groups offered periodically include:

Divorce Care,
Grief Share,
Post Abortion Trauma, and
Addictive Behaviors
