Please note:

– This year’s program will be held Monday – Thursday at Lakeview Chapel (in previous years at Hickories Park)
– Friday’s dessert auction will be held at Pavilion #4 at Hickories Park

This annual event has become a highlight of the summer, with opportunities for involvement by the whole Lakeview family.  It is a two-pronged event featuring a kids’ program for children ages 4 years – 6th grade and a work project for adults and teens.

Each evening begins with supper at 5:45 pm served at Lakeview Chapel.  Everyone is invited for supper; kids, parents of kids and anyone volunteering for the work project or the kids’ program.  In 2018 our wonderful food crew served over 300 meals!

After dinner at 6:00 pm the kids will remain at Lakeview Chapel and are invited to an evening of fun including music, crafts, skits, Bible stories and games.  Each evening will focus on one aspect of the armor of God.  There will be activities to help them get to know Jesus and God’s plan to bring them life.  In 2018 we were blessed with over 20 children of all ages from pre-K to 5th grade.

After supper the adults and teens will be working on a predetermined work project or projects.  This is a very vital part of Family Impact Week.  Through the work project our church family is committed to reaching out to our neighbors and expressing the love of God in a tangible way.  In 2018 we were able to undertake a large drainage project for a local home that had been continually affected by the heavy rains and runoff damaging the homes foundation.

The week is topped off by our annual dessert auction on Friday evening at Hickories Park pavilion #4.  Donated desserts are auctioned off to raise money to cover the cost of the work projects.  You won’t want to miss out on the fun of this night!  The generosity of God’s people shines through.  In 2017 we raised over $2000 to assist one of our international workers with the purchase of a new vehicle.

Volunteers are needed to fill out the kids’ program and the work project.  There is a spot for everyone.  Please see Gen Switzer if you would like to help with the kids’ program.  We will need many hands on deck!  And above all, please be praying for this special week as we anticipate seeing God moving in mighty ways.
